Welcome to Sitting Ducks

For 20 years, we have been providing exceptional catering services to events throughout Canberra. 

With years of experience and a passion for food, we serve up delicious, creative, and diverse menus for a wide range of events, no matter if it’s a corporate event, a formal dinner, or if you simply want restaurant-quality food at home, you can rest assured our team will deliver service that will exceed your expectations.
Caterer  

Danny Corvini

Danny Corvini has enjoyed a varied career prior to taking the reins of Sitting Ducks in 2019; one that has spanned events, hospitality, music and publishing.

A start in hospitality as a teenager at the Gambit Coffee Shop in Deakin (now Double Shot) lead to work at some of Melbourne’s most iconic cafes, bars and restaurants including Arcadia in Gertrude Street Fitzroy, Soul Mama in St Kilda and The Lounge on Swanston Street.

He has produced events in Sydney, Melbourne and Amsterdam and was the Creative Director of the iconic YES!Fest street parties on Lonsdale St in Braddon.

Shontelle Writer 

Shontelle (on left) is one of our favourite members to the Sitting Ducks team. She is friendly, hardworking and skilled professional wanting to make your event run smoothly, allowing you to relax and enjoy the company of your guests. We have not been able to convince Dolly to work with us yet - but the night is still young..

Lorena Jadric

Lorena is a professional and friendly waitress with many years of service within Canberra’s food industry. Always smiling and ever approachable, she has worked at the National Gallery of Australia, National Convention Centre and Parliament House and enjoys seeing all of her clients enjoying their events, no matter how big or small their event.

John Caine

John joins the Sitting Ducks team with so much experience that it makes us blush. After managing the cellar door at one of Canberra's local five-star wineries for some thirteen years, John provided high level, professional food and beverage services to a range of Canberra based organisations and national institutions including the Australian War Memorial, the Australian Institute of Sport, G.I.O. Stadium (Corporate), the National Convention Centre, Thoroughbred Park Canberra, Parliament House Canberra, The Lodge and Government House. John’s working history across so many venues and settings, along with his passion for excellence in hospitality, will ensure that your catering experience is second to none.
